Jose Baez. I think his rambling diversion tactics

Posted: Jul 3, 2011

What a jerk this man is.  He has thrown everybody under the bus and it appears Caylee's death is everyone's fault but his "poor" client.

If Baez doesn't get her a guilty verdict, surely pile on - by Mason Mumbles will.

Good Lord they spent 4 hours rehashing and yelling and preaching telling half a story and the jury already knows there is more to the story. I think they are trying to brain wash the jury to give then a not guilty verdict just to shut the defense lawyers up.

Yes, Baez has to use his Jedi mind tactics on the Jury. Anyway, I didn't like the Prosecuter laughing like some high-school kid either. It just makes the prosecuters look blood-thirsty.

I thought Baez drama was funny too. - I laughed out loud.

There were times when Baez seemed like he was trying out to be on Broadway. Sorry but when things seem so contrived it is funny. I think the only way the judge could keep from laughing was to tune it out. I think he was napping and that's why Judge Perry didn't see prosecutor laughing at Baez antics.

Casey A verdict - freespeech2011

Well, the prosecution IS blood thirsty. They always are in every case. It's all about stepping up in financial and notoriety status. They will do anything and say and do anything for the money and recognition. However, I do think Casey Anthony is as guilty as any person has ever been. I worry that the laughing yesterday will reflect bad on him by the jury. A juror will hand down the opposite verdict of what the prosecution is asking for just because they don't like someone. It's human nature. These are jurors, not robots. I hope and pray they give the right verdict.
I think the jury has made up its mind. Regarding laughing - jury was sleeping or laughing too.

I don't think the prosecution is blood thirsty. All evidence points to Casey Anthony and they want justice. If you worry about the jury handing down a verdict because they don't like someone, this verdict will be guilty because the jury doesn't like Baez smirks and rolling his eyes and they can't like Casey Anthony's reaction to testimony where she glares or shakes her head no. See when the judge wants to make an issue of people's reactions, he neglected to stop Baez a long time ago and he neglected to throw Casey Anthony out a long time ago when she mouthed "bitch" when her mother was testifying or any other reaction Casey showed to testimony.

I am confident that if anybody gets a verdict from a jury based on dislike of lawyers, Casey will be convicted.

He's something else, isn't he? I have tried to catch a bit of the testimony every day and for the most part it has seemed like "How To Be a Lawyer 101" in that courtroom with the countless admonitions from Judge Perry and countless sidebar discussions. I do have to hand it to Baez in the closing statements yesterday though...he delivered an emotional plea to the jurors and I believe the case is full of reasonable doubt, but I feel in my gut this woman killed that precious baby. After all the evidence had been presented I had not changed my mind at all. As for her father and mother...those people no more had any idea about anything than a man in the moon. That is confirmed by the jail visitation videos. Why is everyone wanting to convict George so badly? Granted, he cheated on his wife, but look at her. She's a control freak who emasculated him every chance she would get. He was in that house with her and Casey and he loved Caylee because she was sweet and precious and innocent. She would have probably grown up to be just like Casey and Cindy, but at least she had potential. I do not think George ever touched Casey inappropriately. I just don't get the feeling he is that kind of a person. I do feel sorry for both parents though. Cindy loves Casey even after what she did...loves her to the point of being willing to lie for her. I love my son but I truly don't think I could lie for him if he had done something like that. It would be gut wrenching for sure.

I hope the jury comes to the right decision in this case. To me the right decision would be guilty on ALL charges and life in prison without the possibility of parole. That punishment would be plenty...it would provide plenty of misery.

Baez and Mason overkilled and ran the time till - jurors and others hated them.

First and foremost, on blogs I have read, no one likes Baez. At best he is a sleazy defense attorney who has changed Casey's story one more time about what happened to this child and maligned just about everyone involved in the case. To listen to him twist the truth 100 different ways in his closing argument was torture. Then you bring in mumble mouth Mason to say the same thing. OVERKILL.

I thought their closing arguments were horrible and considering they did not prove Kronk is morally corrupt, the child drowning theory or George Anthony molested his daughter or had anything to do with Caylee's death or "burial" I think the jury will stay focused on the fact Baez is a blowhard with lots to say but everything he says is without meaning or truth.
