Is there a fix for stretched out shirts?

Posted: Aug 21, 2011

Okay, this may be a stupid question, but is there a fix for stretched out shirts? These have been hung on the clothesline by the bottom hem. The result is a flared shirt that makes me look quite large in the mid section. Believe me, the bare-midriff look is NOT flattering on this middle-aged woman! This is done by my elderly mother-in-law, whom I love dearly and am grateful to have around. She lives with me and sometimes will do my laundry, although I have asked her not to many times. I used to recycle them, but with the recent pay cuts, I cannot afford to keep buying shirts. Any ideas? I tried washing again and drying flat, but did not seem to make much of a difference. Thanks!;

Wish I knew of a fix - Me too

I don't know of any fix, although I don't think it's the fault of line drying, unless you always used to block them and dry them flat. I think it's just a poor quality material they're using right now.

It's funny this came up because I have a few LL Bean knit tops which have become short and wide, and they certainly weren't cheap. I'm planning on calling Customer Service tomorrow and see if I can get them replaced. At the moment, they're no good for anything but rags.

...last month a student was suspended for wearing an "all lives matter" shirt to school. We've simply got to get a grip on our educational system and turn it around, because it's become an indoctrination system, not an educational system (check our kids' statistics). There isn't much time left, and this is the election to get started. Any mothers out there who vote for Hillary will be voting for more of the same for their children, and you simply cannot do that. ...
