I have never tried the Garcinia. Anything that is endorsed by Dr. Oz I refuse to try. Seems like he endorses anything, probably as long as he gets paid to do so.

I have read that some companies use Dr. OZ's name even when he has not officially endorsed it.
OP - I did not see this on Dr. Oz show - and also heard his name was used

Don't believe everything you read at first glance. Can Dr. Oz Recommend a Specific Brand Name for a Medication, Supplement, Vitamin or Product?

I know of 2 young girls who used this. It causes LONG TERM damage. One girl was admitted to hospital to find out her GI problems were a result of this product. My daughter had to undergo an endoscopy and other testing. The weight loss can continue uncontrolled for 1 year. She went down to 98 pounds while eating like a pig trying to stop the weight loss. Became very sick from it. She had all kinds or problems, even stopped her periods. This product is very, very dangerous. Ask your doctor!!!
Thanks. I appreciate the information you have forwarded - and had some doubts

even though the reviews were outstanding on Amazon. I believe what you have told me and certainly do not want to use with possible complications like these. I had ordered, thought why not ask here. I did not spend a great amount of money but rather safe than sorry.
Beware of Amazon product reviews. - Amazon pays for positive reviews and

what's a real vs fake review. Just as some of the negative reviews are a little over the top, and are obviously just some teen getting his jollies, the same holds true with too-positive reviews.
If it's ALL good, or uses a lot of the same terminology that other "good" reviews use, that's a clue. Most real reviews have some pros and cons, and often what they like about a product isn't necessarily what you would assume it would be.
Just yesterday I heard an ad on the radio for a company that "cleans up the reputations" of companies whose reps have allegedly been smeared online. They actually came right out and said they'd write good reviews for you. What a scam! Although I think that's a pretty shady business, if you look carefully, their fake reviews are usually not too hard to spot, because the person writing them can't take the time to get too detailed or descriptive if they're going to be considered a "valuable" employee.

Garcinea CambogiaSep 11, 2013So I bought some Garcinea extract at the Vitamin Shoppe 1,000 mg twice a day before meals. I lost 8 pounds in one month. I should have lost more, but I lost weight and that's a good good deal. I could have put more effort in burning calories though. I only need to lose 13 more pounds to hit a certain goal that I haven't seen for a long time. Yes, I am obese.
