A few days ago I was really having trouble with my right foot. Terns out it was fron an insect bite I got at the park on Monday. By Tuesday monring I could not bear weight, the foot was very painful and red. I was limping to the car when a neighbor saw me. She moved in about a year ago, and clearly is the type who wants to mingle quite a bit and gets somewhat pushy and wants to know personal things. She is, however, nice. She was never rude, etc. When she saw me limping she asked what happened. At that time I thought I just overdid my walk the day before at the park. She said, "If that's not better in a week you'd better see a doctor. That could be a stress fracture . . . especially at YOUR age." Then she repeated the last part again. She is several years younger than I, but I feel her remark was unnecessary and rude. I would be interested in your comments.
By the way, turns out the foot looked worse after icing and elevating. I took Benadryl (2 pills, then 1 more 5 hours later and went to bed.) Foot looks great. I guess that spider I knocked off my jeans while sitting on the bench under a tree meant business. Very bad reaction!
