AGT Getting Down to the Wire

Posted: Sep 5, 2010

Just wondering what some of you think of Prince Poppycock on America's Got Talent.  I think he is extremely talented and think he would be perfect for a broadway musical or Vegas.

And how about Jackie Evancho (sp) from Pittsburgh?  What a voice!  I still have to pinch myself to believe that is coming out of a 10-year-old chlld.

Jackie Evancho is totally awesome - also - see message

I don't watch the show, but happened upon a youtube of her singing at AGT. My oh my what a voice she has. What a total shocker. It really does sound like she's 30 years old. Has the season ended? Did they pick a winner?

Here's another one I wanted to share with you. What a voice this guy has and such a cutie too. Okay, it's Britain's got talent and I don't know from what episode but what a voice....

If you don't watch the show, tonight and next week would be the weeks to watch. They are going to have the top 10 on tonight and knock it down to 4. Next week will be the final.

I think it is a tough one this year. My personal favorite is Michael Grimm, but it is going to be a tough call. I think Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho have beautiful voices. I also like fighting gravity and Michael Grasso. I certainly would not want to bet on the winner this year; it is too close to call.

It IS really too close to call this year. I cannot believe the amount of talent that is on this year. I think it is because they elevated the show by taking off Hassehoff and putting on Howie Mandel.

My personal favorites are Prince Poppycock, Jackie Evancho, and Michael Grasso. But also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Fighting Gravity. I think Jackie is really fantastic, but seems young to win the 1 million and tour, etc.

At this point it doesn't really matter because at this stage they will all be offered jobs.

Remember the winner last year? The chicken catcher! Wouldn't stand a chance this year.

I just want to say that I really loved Kevin Skinner and picked him as the winner the first time I saw him and never changed my opinion. I have heard he is cutting his first album soon. I also picked Bianca the year she won the first time I saw her. I just get goosebumps on certain ones and pick them and they win. LOL This year the goosebumps went to Michael Grimm, so hopefully...........

I think all the talent is wonderful this year and the best ever.

I really love Michael Grimm, too. I thought his song choice was excellent the last time he sang! However, I love everyone you mentioned as well! As the other post says, Kevin Skinner from last year would never stand a chance this year. I was amazed he won last year. The ones we love this year have that amazing stage presence and connection with the audience, which is critical. Kevin Skinner definitely did not have that. I have never heard him mentioned again after he won last year.

This year, my money's on Michael Grimm. There's a vulnerability in his eyes that draws people in. I would really like to see Fighting Gravity win, but I don't know if they can.

As far as Kevin Skinner, he did have that vulnerability and the people who loved him still love him. If you look on line, you'll see he's still performing, mostly in Kentucky. You don't hear much about the winner from the year before (Neal Boyd) or the first year's winner, Bianca Ryan. Terry Fator is really the only one who went on to do much.

You are correct. Terry Fator is flying high. That's the first year I voted. I thought he was just tremendous. Do you remember Julienne Erwin, the young country singer? She was on the show the year Terry won. I looked her up, and she is doing very, very well. She appeared with Kenny Rogers, etc. On her website they feature her singing her new country song, and I must admit it is fabulous. Her voice has matured, and she has a really great future! To be that young, talented and RICH!!
