old flame

Posted: Mar 1, 2010

True story:  Like so many others I recently joined the world of facebook.  I looked up old high school friends and got in touch with a lot of old friends from 1980. Unfortunately, I "friended" an old flame.  He was one of by boyfriends in my junior/senior year and the summer in between, but he went to another school.  (My friends and I did that a lot, had BF at other schools so we could have one at our school too.  You know, young gals...)  Well apparently I got under that one's skin and he asked me to marry him while we were still in school.  Of course I declined, I was having way too much fun playing the field.  I blew him off.  He was pissed, but I had pissed guys off before and it was no big deal...

Present day:  He started right off on facebook asking where he went wrong, why didn't I love him then, what did he do, I still love you, never got over you, never married, want to see you...  (scary!).  I was getting sick of the questions! I mean, jeeezzzz!  28 years ago!  Obviously I wasn't in love with him, we were so young. I was having fun!

Then he asked me what I did that summer that we broke up...  I told him I DID the brothers that lived across the street from me!  HAHAHAH!!  He hasn't written since.  Guess he finally got the picture?  (I blocked him anyway!!)

The story gave my sister a big belly laugh, so I thought I'd give y'all a laugh too.    :)

Moral of the story:  Be careful of who you "friend" on facebook.

That is a bit creepy. He needs to "get over it". BTW... I married my high school boyfriend after 35 yrs of being apart. He was my first love and will be my last. ;)

How great! It's so good to know that there are ppl out there that are really meant for each other. Wow, what was getting back together after 35 years apart like? Probably fireworks and butterflies... â™Â¥

Getting back together after 35 years was MAJOR FIREWORKS AND BUTTERFLIES. I felt like I was 16 again. He is so good to me and we plan on making up for all those years we were apart. Yes, we were meant for each other.

Good grief - similar story here. I was dating a guy in 1977 and decided to move out of town for a better job. Married a man for 28 years, now back with the "ex" for 3 years - it is wonderful!!!

why is this on the Comedy Board? It's not funny at all - ?
