the countertop indoor gardens like you see advertised on TV.  They're cute and the produce is little and cute too.  Bell peppers the size of cue balls, etc.  A few years ago I discovered an Italian eggplant, Rosa Bianca, that's small and round.  I have no idea what size they're supposed to be if grown in the ground, but I planted 2 in in the box and they came out the size of a baseball, maybe a little bigger, fit in the palm of your hand, and tasted great! The dwarf tomato I planted this time is supposed to have normal-sized fruit and be prolific.  It won't be normal because everything is smaller in the box, and I do hope I get a bunch of tomatoes.  It's fun to watch everything grow, if nothing else.  I won't plant heirloom tomatoes, they're too finicky and difficult; I like ones you stick in the dirt and be done with it.  I don't have a problem with the GMO veggies; I know my limitations.
