Things done right - Retired MT

Out of sight, out of mind, does not mean that conditions were ever good for documented migrant workers who moved from place to place. I didn't mean to put words in your mouth, but I have was born and raised in an agricultural region and still reside where we depend heavily on migrant workers to pick our crops. Conditions have improved for many of them, but I have seen some of the places where growers expect them to live - rundown shacks without running water or sanitation. Another informative video for you to see, if you can find it at your library, is "Harvest of Shame." Your apples, oranges and other fruits and vegetables that you take for granted don't just automatically appear at the grocery store. Migrants work the fields in many cases because no one else will do that work. There are many articles that you can reference on line that compare what is happening today with the story told in "The Grapes of Wrath." I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, but it sounded as if you were okay with it as long as you didn't have to look at it. What would you consider "things done right?"
