Nigerians are the most highly educated ethnic group in the U.S.. 61% over the age of 25 hold advanced college degrees. So oddly, it doesn’t appear that skin color in the U.S. prevents someone from being very, very successful.
They are ridiculously successful in general. There is some significant tension between Nigerians and African-Americans at some ivy league schools because the Nigerians are earning rates of acceptance that make for a higher percentage of "black" students, and some African Americans resent that the Nigerians are taking slots they believe should be reserved for them.
