The story started out that someone ate a bat from a wet market in China and became ill, spreading the virus to others. They even had that disgusting picture of a woman eating a bat shown all over the internet. It turns out that photo wasn't even taken in China. But then we found out that the Wuhan Institute of Virology is located very near to the suspected wet market. And this is not just any virology lab - this is a lab with a biosafety level of 4 - the highest level! "A biosafety level, or pathogen/protection level, is a set of biocontainment precautions required to isolate dangerous biological agents in an enclosed laboratory facility, the highest at level 4."
There were reports by researchers saying that small segments of protein found in Covid are similar to those found in HIV that other Coronaviruses don't have. Some say Covid was manufactured in the lab as a bioweapon. Some say it was transmitted more likely from animal (pangolin) to human.
At this point, I don't think there's anything natural about how this virus came to be. China is our enemy and we can never expect them to be truthful about anything regarding Covid. We probably won't know for a long time whether or not this horrible virus is going to be the cause of millions of people suffering from chronic health issues long after having been infected with it.
