slate of electors. They can not be current Federal officials, so you find former federal office holders and state politicians like mayors on the slate.

Hillary is just an elector if Biden/Democrat Party gets the most votes in NY. If Trump miraculously wins NY, the Republican Party will have their own set of electors.

But yes, everything is swampy.
