The older folks in my family called him Red Walter. He was for a one world government. My father still calls him that when conversation about the media come up.
The terrible truth is that Walter Cronkite symbolized liberal media bias and used that bias with disastrous consequences for our nation and the world. The argument could be made that he is one of the major factors that led to us losing the Vietnam war.
