The second action we should take is for the U.S. Congress to make big tech firms earn their Section 230 immunity.
This one is huge. They have this screwed up deal where they have no liability, yet still have the authority (but no accountability) to edit/censor.
They either need to be content-producers with the authority and liabilities of such, or they need to be carriers with no say in the content of the information transmitted and consequently no liability. It's unconscionable they ever got this deal in the first place. I prefer the carrier model, personally, but it needs to be one or the other; they can't have it both ways.
