I'm a Catholic Democrat and I wouldn't attack - her for being Catholic

Smearing politicians for being Catholic rarely happens anymore. It was a big deal when Kennedy was elected because non-Catholics thought he was taking orders from the Pope--how absurd is that? I think most people have gotten over attacking someone based on their religious affiliation as a weapon. It just doesn't hold much weight with people anymore. Of course Dems are going to try to find reasons to criticize whoever he nominates because they don't want his nominee to be appointed. Pubs would do the same thing if they didn't want a Dem nominee appointed.
