that's a lot of money. Plenty to get restarted in a modest apartment and with a laptop to get working again. Way more than enough. That could get you another used car, an apartment, a phone and laptop and some thrift store stuff to get re-set up for furniture, etc. and still have something left over.

Before I get slammed for being unkind or judgy, please know that I've been homeless and had nothing, not even a car, no job, and with 2 babies. We had a backpack each. Due to domestic violence. You don't need 8 thousand dollars to start over. Trust me. That's crazy! That's a lot of money.
