Some of you might remember some of the discussions that took place regarding Wendy, the former MT who has been living in her Honda Odyssey van in Florida for months. It is a very long story, and you can read her blogs on her Go Fund Me Page. The latest in a long list of misadventures is that she is having car problems and the AC stopped working in her van. She speaks of ant and rat infestations and varmints eating food that she left on the dashboard during the night. For money, she gets Social Security, donations via GFM, and what little she makes as a food delivery driver. It is not any of my business except that I'm a former MT who has been interested in her progres, but I have made many suggestions regarding ways to prioritize her funds, job opportunities she might pursue, even offering car advice, but she says she can't do anything, yet comes back and asks for more money everytime the car breaks or something else goes wrong. She is in Titusville, FL, if anyone lives in that area. The rat story freaked me out and I'm writing this because no one deserves to live like that. I'm asking for prayers or help for her if anyone knows her, has worked with her or happens to live nearby. I've considered sending a letter to the local social services agencies to see if someone can do something to help her get off the street. It is none of my business, but I am very concerned. Thank you.
