One thing COVID has made clear is that there are a lot more jobs that can be done at home with the proper IT and communications setup than the bosses originally thought. Work at home isn't a perk just for them anymore. If you can do the job on a computer or over the phone and the organization has an enterprise license for Zoom/Skype/GoToMeeting, then that home and that job can be anywhere. You don't need visas to bring the workers here.

On the other hand, a lot of jobs that do require the worker to be here don't pay all that much. You know, the people who mow lawns, shovel snow, cut hair, do nails, take care of Granny or Junior, wait tables, pick vegetables/fruit, clean offices/homes, drive taxis/Uber/Lyft, shelve books at the library, etc.
