You: Police broke that black man's wrist and he was the wrong guy. They must be racist. They're oppressing the black people.

Everyone else: That's unfortunate. What happened before they threw him to the ground? Was he resisting? Refusing to show them ID? Being disrespectful? Maybe that was a factor. Let's look at other encounters with the police. How often do people have similar outcomes when dealing with the police in similar circumstances?

Let's take another perspective. Let's say the police broke his arm and he was totally innocent, compliant, respectful everything you'd expect. Isn't that an easy lawsuit with a great settlement? Especially, if it's all on video? It's still police misconduct if the cops had no reason to treat him that way. At the very least the cops will be punished. It doesn't mean the entire country is racist.
