Police Department Budgets - A very complicated situation

I certainly have respect for the police and I’m glad they are out there, but they can make bad decisions. Where I live, a few years ago, during a routine traffic stop, an officer shot and killed a back seat passenger who went to unfasten their seat belt because they thought they were going for a weapon. Cops overreact and use excessive force at times. Some of this is because there are budget restraints and they don’t receive all the training they need before being sent out on the streets. With the Floyd case as with Rodney King and others, there are multiple sides to the story. As always, the media gets ahold of it and street thugs are painted as choir boys. Rioting and looting and destroying one’s own neighborhood makes absolutely no sense. All lives matter; Caucasian, Hispanic, Native American, and anyone who resides in the United States. The police are not always right and they make mistakes, but they are not the enemy.
