‘IN THEIR OWN WORDS’ - TT Posted: Jun 7th, 2020 - 5:06 pm
Watching Laura Ingraham’s show last night, her guest was Terry Turchie, author of ‘IN THEIR OWN WORDS’. Mr. Turchie retired from the FBi in April 2001, having served as the 1st Deputy Assistant Director of the Counterterrorism Division of the FBI. He was on to discuss the dangerous consequences that would result by disbanding police.
Mr. Turchie went on to list what he says are the goals of the current movements that are trying to take down he country. He likens the movement today as the same as the Weather Underground. Their parent organization was the Students for a Democratic Society – SDS.
The Weather Underground’s strategy consisted of six goals:
1. DESTROY CAPITALISM
2. THE WEAPON OF CHOICE – SYSTEMIC RACISM AND POLICE RACISM
3. IDENTIFY THE VICTIM CLASSES
4. ORGANIZE THE VICTIM CLASSES
5. ENGAGE IN INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY WITH THE GLOBAL MOVEMENT
6. ATTACK AND DETHRONE GOD
Mr. Turchie likens these 6 above to the goals of the Democratic Party today and seems he is spot on. He also explained that the Weather had a manifesto called ‘Prairie Fire’, more on this below.
Background of the SDS and Weather Underground Groups
The Students for a Democratic Society, SDS, was founded in the 1960’s and was a national student activist group. One of the writers of their manifesto was Tom Hayden. Hayden was one of the Chicago Seven and was married to the traitor Jane Fonda for 17 years. Hayden went on to be elected to the California Assembly and Senate – only in the land of fruit and nuts. Other founding members of the SDS were Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
The Weather Underground was active from 1969 to 1977. Their ideology was communism, Black Power, Black nationalism, anti-imperialism, New Left. Their allies were the Black Liberation Army & Black Panther Party. Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were the leaders. This is the same Bill Ayers of Obama fame.
They used various means to set into motion a nationwide revolt against the government. They also aimed to convince people to resist reliance upon their given privilege and to rebel and take arms if necessary. According to Weather, if people tolerated the unjust actions of the state, they became complicit in those actions. In the manifesto compiled by Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeff Jones, and Celia Sojourn, entitled "Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism".
This link has a good explanation of the entire SDS Weather Underground mess.
