When people get violent and they perceive law enforcement to be demonstrating a policy of "standing down," they will only get MORE violent. There is no excuse for this violence, and there is no excuse for state, county, or local administrations to be derelict in their duty to protect citizens and/or property. That is their JOB for which they are paid with tax dollars.
The President knows that this perceived laissez-faire attitude of some law enforcement will help encourage MORE violence.
Are you okay with the lack of active law enforcement in these violent riot situations in some of these states? Will you be okay when one of these violent mobs comes into your town and burns down your house and the police sit back and watch the blaze?
