Lymphedema - MT68

Posted: May 10th, 2020 - 12:26 pm In Reply to: Thanks - it was suggested but.....sm - Driving me nuts

I was just diagnosed with it a couple of weeks ago after an ER visit. At my followup phone appointment with my PCP, she suggested moisturizers and compression stockings and also getting up every 30 minutes or so to walk around the house or go outside and take a 5 minute walk. She stressed the importance of moving. She also suggested healthier eating and elevating the leg whenever possible. I've followed her suggestions (except for the compression stockings which I'll be getting next week), and I've already noticed a slight improvement. It still drives me nuts but that slight improvement gives me hope. Best wishes to you.
