They have no means or way to stay clean. They traverse the streets, touching doors and other things in stores and fast food joints they go to, bus stop benches, sidewalks littered with their human waste, etc. The coronavirus would easily spread under those unsanitary conditions.
Would any state, county, city, etc., be able to quarantine several hundred homeless people all at once if they start flooding the ERs? I heard one official say they'd use whatever means necessary like motels and other places to house them. That would be such a huge challenge for any city with thousands of homeless people living on the streets. Los Angeles' homeless number more than 50,000!
