engineered attacks upon a Saudi oil refinery, a U.S. base, and clearly directed the recent attack upon the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Soleimani has been the mullah's point man for external trouble-making for about 20 years and the U.S. has been after this guy for almost as long. He directed Iranian interference in Iraq, which prolonged that war and killed thousands of Iraqis and hundreds of Americans.
How can anyone be surprised or against the fact that we killed him as soon as we acquired actionable intelligence?
