they are hoping that the Trump base believes every word out of their mouths. It is one of their familiar tactics that if you tell a lie often enough, people begin to believe it. So dishonest. I can't believe that Republican lawmakers are this deathly afraid of him and are unable to just do the right thing and stand up to him.
