Even if you opt out of the program, your kids will still hear it - the other kids will run their mouths about it constantly. I used to teach grade school sex ed for 5th and 8th grades - kids are huge gossips especially about the subject of sex. Most public schools are a waste of kids' time - they have to teach to the lowest common denominator because if they don't enough students and have "enrichment" classes for certain groups, they will lose federal funding. Very few school districts can run on local tax money, without federal funding.
