When the economy took a dump and my husband was laid off, UC didn't cut the mustard. He found a job cleaning toilets, literally in Wally World.
The pay was terrible, but we had a young son and food, shelter and clothing to provide. He later found a slightly better job with very few benefits, installing milk tanks and walk-in freezers. Finally, after nearly a year and a half, a job in his own trade.
Busting your rear isn't fashionable, nor is getting sweaty and dirty. It IS self rewarding though. It doesn't matter what you ethnicity is.
That is what I hate about today's Democrats. Everything is about race, sex, class envy or something that divides us.
