is cutting benefits - as mentioned in the post above. Many poor neighborhoods have no access to fresh fruit and vegetables which are essential for proper nutrition. Food banks often run out of essential items. Many women cannot afford birth control even if it is cheap for some and many women are raped, often by husband or boyfriends. Sure, there are probably welfare queens who think the government should supply everything but I don't think it's fair to say that everyone who seeks government assistance at some point thinks that way.
