I'd say going back to the hospital to meet the President is going out your way. They didn't have to bring the baby back to the hospital.
How do you what happened before and after the photo was taken? Is it no longer appropriate to smile in photos? The man to Trump's left is smiling. The woman on the right isn't smiling, but that doesn't mean she's not happy. Maybe she doesn't like how she looks in pictures when she smiles.
