as a result of the defamation suit. Al let his supporters pick up that tab. He VILIFIED Pagones and perpetrated the lie that Pagones, who at the time was a NY prosecutor, was one of Tawana Brawley's assailants. By the way, it was determined that her whole story about being attacked by ANYONE was a lie she concocted so she wouldn't get in trouble with her parents for violating her curfew.
