I've seen two different rheumatologists and was put on methotrexate which didn't do a thing for me. It's the first line of treatment. It does help some people. I refused to move forward to the biologics due to the side effects and potential risk of lymphoma and not to mention the suppression of the immune system. I take ibuprofen and try to eat an anti-inflammmatory diet. Mine is a mild case, meaning I don't have deformities yet. If I had a more severe case then I would probably consider the biologics. I do have pain, but mainly in the winter months.
