personal trainer (ACSM certified) as well as an MT. As you continue to consult with your MD, the suggestion regarding myofascial release with a foam roller is a good one. I use one made by Trigger Point, but any sturdy model will do. Some gentle Pilates-type stretches would also be useful, but touch base with your MD about which ones s/he recommends since you're having pain. If you can find some Traumeel cream to massage the area, it's great stuff. Big props to you for staying active! Keep us posted.
