I Had - Hip

pain, upper thigh pain (which doc thought also was bursitis) and knee pain in the same leg. I went through many things to help the pain and just recently found that due to sitting, the muscles and ligaments had knotted up, trigger points, as they call them. I got a foam roller stick and began rolling that whole entire leg from hip, buttock, thigh, knee, and lower leg about every other day. At first, it is very painful as it works to diminish the muscle knots and ligaments, even leaving small bruises where they are the worst. My hip pain has all but disappeared. My knee pain still continues to bother me but it is much less than what it was. I am hoping that in time that will end, as well. Feel your thigh muscles. do they feel "lumpy?" or are certain spots more tender than others? (trigger points). If so then you require myofascial release and these rolling sticks or foam rollers truly help. I would never have believed it until I tried it. Roll every angle of your hip, leg, thigh, and even lower back and buttocks, not just in one spot, but wherever the muscles are; on top, on the side (inside and outside) underneath. wherever you can reach them. The backs of my thighs are wrought with these "lumps and bumps" and it is not "cellulite" as they would like you to believe. Doing a transcription job for over 16 years now has led to this. Give it a shot. What have you got to lose??
