elimination of all fossil fuel, replace free-market capitalism with a socialist framework, increase expenditures for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid (which already consume in aggregate 62% of the federal budget), free childcare services, end the "racist" War on Drugs, abolish capital punishment, ban many guns, support public funding for election, breaking up the banks...

This is all in the Green New Deal, and I'm not even halfway there.

Then some of them while competing with each other will throw out the idea of getting rid of the electoral college or doing things to try to get more representatives in states like CA and NY, Democrat strongholds. I heard one of them proposing changing the small states to having only one senator!

Senators were not elected. They were appointed by the States to represent the States. Representatives were for the people. 17th amendment changed that.
