This is nothing new.
A funny thing about that smug face in this article is that his state has one of the highest property tax rates in the country. Now won't his ex-constituents be so happy what he did for them. They actually went red this past election because they knew he was pushing for tax reform and they thought they would benefit from it. OOPS
Maybe they will move to your state who benefit from them now and then there will be less people in those high tax states to subsidize your state.
There really are lots and lots of articles out there and have been for years that show blue states subsidize red states.
