state, and we've had a voter ID law here for at least 5 years. My state also cleans up registration rolls on a regular basis. That's mostly people who move away and never let the registrars office know. The registrars in each city or town mail out postcards to a voters last known address, and if it gets returned as undeliverable because they've moved and left no forwarding address, they get booted off the voter rolls. Also people who pass away and the family doesn't let the registrar's office know sometimes remain on the voter rolls a little while, so unless someone who looks exactly like the deceased person with an ID listing that persons registered address they are obviously not going to vote. Eventually, they do fall off the voter rolls too. I don't know where you got the idea that Democrats don't want voter ID laws. I think they're a terrific idea. Where did you hear that?
