Most illegal immigrants come by air and overstay their visas. And I hope that you realize that this "crisis" is being compounded by the fact that furloughed TSA agents and Coast Guard have opened up our airports and waterways to increased drug trafficking and worse. And not for nothing, but people cannot apply for refugee status or asylum at a US embassy in their country. Embassies and consulates do not process those requests. You MUST be at the border or already in the country to request asylum/refugee status. The President IS the humanitarian crisis here.
