Mom told me of a beggar who was always in front of J.P. Allen’s in Atlanta when she was growing up in the ‘30s. He would get picked up by his driver each afternoon. It’s always a scam. Today they bring their children to evoke sympathy. I watched a documentary on Netflix about it. They are driven around in a van and dropped off and beg for money. Then they go back to their nice apartments at the end of their "shift"
