EU. It started out as a trading block, then the Bureaucraps took total control. Now things are dictated from Brussels.
At some point the group financial advantage is obliterated by the punitive fines for not obeying.
Look for more Brexits to come, until there are only 10 left. The European Union is becoming like the typical labor union. You pay to be a member. Being a member gets you nothing.
