countries' borders and could have legally sought asylum in Mexico. But instead, they continued north to the US border. And not to the closest US border either. One that required an additional 1,500 miles to journey. They headed to San Diego and the US California border. There's a reason why they did this.

They could have beelined it to Brownsville, TX which is 1500 miles closer but their political and financial backers wanted better PR from the California crossing and where some of the wall is already built.

This "asylum" crap is as phony as the day is long.
