I don't like that he did that. But I don't find it unacceptable. In fact, I wish he'd push it even further.
My perspective: Political correctness and over-sensitivity to certain words and phrases limits our freedom of speech. People have lost their jobs and reputations over things they've said that others found offensive. I'm happy to see Trump pushing back on that. He's the only one who can change the current limitations on freedom of speech by acting this way.
His next rally is going to be a hoot. Imagine the crowd's response when he winds them up with "And remember Little Adam..." "Oh yeah! He's a Little ..." There will be some pearl clutching in the media about that for sure.
