Aletha Torellas Shapiro, who sees Linda Sarsour as a hero, is an activist who has been trying to bird-dog senators for days, chasing them through the halls of the Senate over Kavanaugh and yelling at people like Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) in profanity-laced tirades.
But while most have gone home, Shapiro is still hanging out in the hallways trying to shame senators over their votes.
And the way that she’s trying to do it is by using her four young children, some of whom are of school-age, taking them with her to protest.
But when she caught Bill Cassiday, she likely wasn’t expecting the answer she got back.
The question she threw at him was, “Senator Cassidy, can you please apologize to my children for ruining their futures?”
Cassidy, a gastroenterologist nuked her, saying to the children in a calm voice, “Hey, guess what? I know your parents are using you as tools. But in the future, if somebody makes an allegation against you, and there’s no proof for it, you will be OK. Thank you,” before moving on.
