my kids in school for example this week, one was told Columbus was bad, while the other got zero mention of Columbus all day.

The solution is really simple. We must go back to true Constitutional Law as originally defined. Each Republic State can see fit to define its own laws so long as they do not violate The Constitution.

Per the Tenth Amendment:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”

Our present turmoil is the result of the disregard of the Tenth Amendment. This disregard is a direct result of an activist judicial system that has become a defacto legislative body. There were states where abortion was legal before the 70s.

Let each state determine its destiny so long as it does not violate the Constitution. Some states will prosper. Some states will become disasters.
