I think abortion, the legalization of drugs, and other issues that fall into that category should be left up to the individual. I don't care what you do as long as I don't have to pay for it. I don't think a doctor should be forced to perform an abortion if he/she morally feels it's wrong. I don't think people should have to participate in a gay wedding if they morally think it's wrong.
That doesn't mean I think people shouldn't be treated with respect for these differing opinions.
But the problem with, for instance, the legalization of drugs is what it does to society. Look at how many kids are on ADHD medications and anti-anxiety meds at a young age. What are the long-term effects?
