There are MANY such animal rescue organizations at work now, desperately trying to rescue stranded pets people had to leave behind, drowning livestock in stalls and fields, and strays. peeweespaws.com (in Louisiana, pulled pets from danger areas), http://zeusrescues.org/ (pulled dogs from danger areas), Atlanta Humane Society (pulled animals from flooded areas) and many more I'm sure you can find. Don't forget G-d's creatures in emergencies.
