I see where you're coming from. I feel too worn out to go through all that myself, but for a younger person (if this is the case) who has many more years ahead to consider, then I hope they find a good company out there, even if for a while.

I've been hearing that more and more people are doing what's called "shadowing" when looking for a good job. They'll accept positions with 2 or even 3 different companies and try each one out for a short period of time until they decide which one seems the best choice. Apparently they take vacation time or sick time off from one and go work at the other during that short time period (a week or 2?), and from that make their decision which one they want to keep. It's got to be a quick action plan because I can't see how all the hours would be covered beyond a couple of months or so. I guess the idea is to quickly find what they want rather than go one job at a time...
