The MAGA people can keep tooting Trump's horn, but this is more the reality of it. I have never understood how working class people think corporate welfare is good. All I can say is enjoy it while it lasts.

Of course, if President Trump really wanted to reduce the fiscal deficit, he could start by rolling back those tax cuts, or at least ensuring that their effects were distributed more widely. But cutting taxes for the rich and reducing support for the poor and vulnerable is what President Trump was elected to do. This is government by the rich, for the rich. The tax cuts are here to stay, and there may be more to come. And the poor will pay, not only through lower entitlements, lower wages, higher inflation and higher interest rates, but perhaps also through a completely unnecessary recession and rising unemployment. God help America.
