My M.D. called and said I need to go to a nephrologist because my kidney function is low.
I am so scared I will have to have dialysis. I just do not want that.
I have some benign cysts on my kidneys. My grandmother had kidney cancer and died in her 50s. I just turned 74 and this has really shaken me.
I have diabetes, heart problems i.e. diastolic heart failure along with other problems.
Most of my problems so far have been due to long term effects of medication such as having to have all my teeth out when they decayed from inside out. I believe that to have been due to me taking steroids for my asthma and later COPD.
I have had pneumonia twice in three years and have now gotten a Prevnar 23 and am to get Prevnar ???? next January. I get a flu shot each year too.
I have quit smoking in 2015 and was looking forward to better health. Kind of disappointed. I have gained 30 pounds since my last license was renewed and that was only three years ago. I am worried about the weight gain considering I am taking diuretics for the heart failure.
Anyway, I would appreciate prayer that I don't have to go on dialysis and that it is something treatable or some long-term effects from some medication I am taking.
