tiny amount of funding from the gov't, probably from the National Endowment for the Arts. Probably 99.9% of its funding comes from private foundations, charities, philanthropists, and viewer/listener donations. If you don't want any gov't funding to go to NPR or public TV, you need to make your case known to the gov't agencies who gives them money. If you haven't done that yet, then you have no right to complain. Call or write to your state senator and/or representative and any gov't agency to let them know how you feel.
