I had to look up who the author of this was, Warren Mosler. - who believes in Modern Monetary Theory,

Then I had to look up Modern Monetary Theory, which basically believes that money is nothing but a liability issues by the govt and the govt can print as fiat (money not backed up by any collateral) money as it likes.

Warren Mosler also resides in St. Croix, Virgin Islands to lower his tax bill.

I'm not saying I don't agree with some of his assessment. I just like to know where the author of an opinion piece that is not written necessarily in layman's terms is starting from.

I just don't believe in a political theory that says govt has unlimited funds.
